What is a JuniperRatings Summary?
|
JuniperRatings illustrate how proven a particular technology is and how credible a supplier is.
They are authored independently by Juniper. They are our assessment of the relative stage of development of individual processes and each company’s track record. The ratings relate specifically to the application, scale and feedstock identified in each rating report. Companies and processes may therefore frequently receive different ratings for other applications.

An assessment of the provenness of all the leading processes of this type and Juniper’s rating of each company’s ability to deliver projects. A brief comment explains the individual verdict.
In addition each report includes:
- A definition of the technology grouping assessed
- Juniper’s system for classifying technologies according to their provenness
- The definition for the supplier ratings used in the report
- A list of the acronyms used in the report

| What is Juniper's experience in assessing and rating technologies? |
|
We had already developed a rating system for the various technology families and groupings, which we have been using for a number of years in our consultancy services for clients. We are now offering these ratings for sale through our publishing site WasteReports.com. We will continue to offer ratings to consultancy clients tailored to meet their specific local or project requirements.
Over 350 technologies have been rated by Juniper and many of these have been included in our Ratings Summaries.

Ratings are intended as a guide to help identify companies that merit consideration for applications and to provide an indication of their relative standing at the present time.
They reflect the standing of processes and suppliers at a particular point in time. Because this is a rapidly changing business area, ratings can become out of date relatively quickly. Whilst Juniper will endeavour to update ratings to reflect significant changes, customers are advised that they should not rely on ratings for any significant or financial decisions.
Ratings are not intended as a substitute for a project-specific comparison; in such circumstances our relative rating may vary from those published in the Ratings Reports, since the individual project context often means that a specific process may have particular advantages.
JuniperRatings do not contain textual descriptions of the processes as textual analysis. They are rankings against our assessment criteria. For textual reports on individual processes or technology families, please see the lists of our other published reports.

| How frequently are the reports updated? |
|
We continuously re-appraise our ratings* in the context of market developments, progress by individual companies and the entry of new suppliers into the market. From time to time we will prepare revised Listings that incorporate these changes. If you subscribe to our subscription service you will automatically receive these revised Listings as part of the subscription cost for the twelve month period of your subscription.

| How do you select the processes you include? |
|
Juniper is continuously monitoring both markets around the world and the technologies that are of interest for particular applications in those markets. This research provides us with the base list of available technologies.
Companies may also bring their own processes to our attention but we will not accept any commissions or incentives to include a process in our reports. It is our sole decision whether or not to include a process.
Most of these markets are evolving very rapidly and new processes come forward almost on a daily basis. So inevitably there may be processes that we have omitted, but we aim to make the coverage as comprehensive as possible.

| Is there information about process technology in the rating report? |
|
No. The rating report only includes Juniper’s supplier and process rating. For information about individual process technologies, please refer to our process reviews and management briefings, which are available from WasteReports.com
