A new partnership is announced today by Scott Wilson and Juniper. The two have agreed to collaborate in the waste management and biomass renewables consulting sector, providing a broader range of advice and support to clients in this rapidly evolving field.
The collaboration is focused on leveraging Juniper’s leading position in technology risk assessment by integrating this with Scott Wilson’s broad range of expertise in engineering, environmental and planning specialisms.
The new partnership will primarily focus on the UK market and offer:
- Advice to project developers on technology selection and risk mitigation;
- Due Diligence reviews for banks and private equity funds;
- Feasibility studies and techno-commercial assessments;
- Strategy advice to corporate and other clients.
The two organisations see considerable synergies between their individual areas of specialisation. Juniper is a leading independent analyst of novel process technologies that are increasingly being marketed as ‘better’ solutions for recovering resources from waste. Scott Wilson, the international multi-disciplinary consultancy group, offers a broad range of integrated professional services including planning and licensing support, engineering design work and environmental impact assessments.
Joe Schwager, Managing Director of Juniper, comments, “our clients increasingly want more than just advice on technology. They want our specialist knowledge but also practical advice on site related issues and project implementation. This new alliance with Scott Wilson will allow us to provide, jointly, that broader range of services.”
Barry Gore, Technical Director at Scott Wilson, comments: “By combining our expertise, Scott Wilson and Juniper can provide individual clients with a comprehensive waste project multi-disciplinary resource that can be used to assess specific risks and uncertainties as they move towards, and beyond, contract completion”.
“We are excited by the opportunity to team with a world leader in assessing technologies, like Juniper,” concluded John Holden, Commercial Director at Scott Wilson. “By working together we can advise clients across the full range of technical, commercial, environmental and planning matters,” he explained.
Both companies will continue to advise clients separately and will only work together when the client wants to use both organisations. Contractual arrangements and staffing will be determined flexibly so as to ensure a good fit to client needs.
The alliance has already received interest from existing clients and further initiatives are planned which will be announced in the coming weeks.
